The World Recession

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 (King James Version)
11) I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. 12) For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
King Solomon, the richest man who ever lived on this Earth said he saw under the sun that the race is not for the swift, nor the battle for the strong, neither yet bread to the wise. In this season in the World is in a recession and from these few verse we can see some truths that are happening now.
a) Bread to the wise - Men who think that they are wise, those who could predict the stock market, the world economy, those who had multibillion dollar companies, those who owned banks and various financial institution, those who owned or worked in top positions in the automobile industry are now seeing that he bread that they once ate is disappearing. Their lifestyle is disappearing and now they are facing situations that they never thought possible. b) Riches to men of understanding. These men of understanding are saying I cant understand what is happening now. I invested some money to put away as my little nest egg, my investments have collapsed. We have heard of billionaires who kill thyemselves because they have lost a few billion dollars. These men have suddenly realised that their God is failing them. Their God of Gold and silver (money) is failing them and since they do not know the one true God they commit suicide, because that which they trust in is dying or is dead, some trust in chariots, som trust in horses but we the believers shall remember the name of the LORD our God. c) Nor yet favor to men of skill. Look at the amount of people who have skills in various occupations, accountants, engineers, doctors, recptionists, medical personel, financial advisors etc and they have no favor now. No favor in the work force. Vs 12 .........so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. The key verse here is the term "sons of men" This verse is talking about the unbelievers, the unsaved, those who deny God and it states that it falleth upon them suddenly. Yes what is happening in the world came suddenly upon most of the unbelivers, but the bible says that we are not "sons of men" but "sons of God" and sons of God are not in a recession for in Gods Kingdom there is no recession. Sons of God invest and have always invested in the Kingdom of God in seed time and harvest. Jesus Christ said we are in the world but not of the world. I am from England and I live in jamaica but am not of Jamaica. Now is the time for believers to bring their tithes and offering and see the Word of God come alive in their lives. 3 weeks ago I sowed a seed of $120 to a Pastor and then 2 hours later a total stranger came to me and said "I need to sow a seed into your life and he sowed $3000 into my life" TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Of course I then took out my tithe of 10% of $300 and gave an offering of $200 to the church and then went and sowed $1000 to the pastor again, and I am ahead by $1500, the Word of God is ALWAYS RIGHT. In this season, the people of God are going to shine just as it was in the days of Moses. There was darkness in Egypt, but light in Goshen. The sons of men will be complaining, while the sons of God will be smiling and saying, all is well. Our solution to ALL our problems is found in the word of God. Be blessed. Here is an extra one for you all. We were told in school that about 300 years ago Christopher Columbus discovered that the earth was round, yet 2700 years ago, the prophet Isaiah (700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ) said that it is God who sitteth on the circle of the Earth (Isaiah 40:22). Isaiah did not have a spaceship that could go into space as we have now (eg NASA), yet he knew that the Earth is round. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm. The bible is a wealth of knowledge.
